FARES – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

FARE RULES EFFECTIVE FROM 1 JULY 2007 APPLICABLE TO ALL FARE TYPES.

 

Fully Flexible (Y class)

 

All fares are fully refundable and transferable up to 24 hours prior to departure (less credit card charges if applicable and a change fee of $33.00 inclusive of GST).

 

Payment is required 24 hours prior to departure.

 

Failure to board a held flight renders the coupon void and no longer valid for travel nor exchange.

 

Fares are non-transferable and non-refundable less than 24 hours prior to departure.

 

 

Advance Purchase Fares – 7 and 14 day

 

All discount fares are subject to class availability at time of booking.

 

Payment required at time of booking.

 

Advance purchase conditions apply (7 day and 14 day advance purchase).

 

Changes to itinerary are permitted subject to availability and only to a full Y class fare level, plus fare change fee of $33.00 (inclusive of GST).

 

Changes can only be made up to 24 hours prior to departure.

Any fully flexible or advance purchase fare cancellations within 24 hours of departure, or where a passenger fails to show for a flight, the fare is non refundable and non transferable

 

 

ALL fares quoted are inclusive of GST.

 

 

Fare Types:

Senior - Current holders of the Australian Seniors Card or with identification verifying age of 60 and over. Identification will be verified on ticket collection.

Child - children aged 2 to 11. Children under 2 who are not occupying a seat will not be charged. If a seat is booked for children under 2, the child's fare will be charged.

Secondary Student - students aged 12 to 18 years, attending full time secondary college will be charged a child's fare. Proof will be verified on ticket collection.

A child aged between 5 and 12 years of age inclusive, travelling without the supervision of a person 12 years of age and over is deemed to be unaccompanied. Children under the age of 5 years can only travel if accompanied by an adult or company escort. It is essential that this be advised to the agent at the time of making the reservation. Golden Eagle Airlines documentation will need to be completed on check-in. It is advisable to arrive at the airport approximately 60 minutes prior to departure.

Young adults - 12 years of age and over may travel with unaccompanied child treatment if requested.

 

 

Check In Time

 

Passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time at the appropriate airport.

 

Baggage

 

Luggage is restricted to 15kg per paying passenger.

Hand luggage is restricted to one carry on item (4 kg’s per item)

Excess baggage cannot be guaranteed uplift on the same day of travel and is charged at $2.00 per kg.

 

Travel Insurance

 

As travel involves many risks, Golden Eagle Airlines advises that you consider purchasing travel insurance with a reputable travel insurance company.  This usually covers you for the following:

Personal changes in travel plans

Cancellation

Personal injury and death

Medical and Hospital expenses

Delayed flights

Damaged or lost baggage and other items

 

 

 

Health

 

When making a reservation, please advise the operator of any disease, illness or condition which may make it unsafe for you or other passengers if you fly.

 

 

Prohibited Items

 

Prohibited items include the following:

Knives

Weapons of any type

Firearms and ammunition (for exemptions, as well as packing requirements, please contact the reservations department for details)

Items prohibited by all applicable laws, regulations or orders by Australia. These include such items as flammable solids, gases and materials, corrosives, explosives, poisons and radioactive materials.
